Did you write a thesis in school or teaching that you would like to pursue? Or are you passionate about a topic in your free time that you would like to deepen scientifically? Then the National Competition is just right for you!
Your ingenuity in topic selection is limitless. Your project may come from the natural sciences, engineering, the humanities and social sciences or even from art. It is important that a scientific question is dealt with methodically. Both individual work and group work can be submitted with a maximum of three people.
For nearly 50 years, the National Competition has been organized by the Swiss Youth Research Foundation. More than 2,000 young people interested in science have participated since then. Young people from all over Switzerland present their scientific projects in the competition. With posters, exhibits or video animations they try to convince the jury of their work. The competitive atmosphere and the exciting works attract a large number of guests and media to the exhibition. At the final award ceremony, the young people expect many attractive special prizes in addition to cash prizes.
